Electrochemical Point-of Care (PoC) Determination of Interleukin-6 (IL-6) Using a Pyrrole (Py) Molecularly Imprinted Polymer (MIP) on a Carbon-Screen Printed Electrode (C-SPE)

Here is presented a highly sensitive biomimetic sensor for the detection of an Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) biomarker, interleukin-6 (IL6), point-of-care (PoC) analysis. The imprinted polymeric film was prepared by co-electropolymerization pyrrole (Py) and carboxylated in presence IL6, on carbon-screen printed electrode . biomarker molecule then removed oxalic acid , creating recognition vacant sites. Similarly, control also absense IL6 different steps fabrication were characterized Raman Spectroscopy, Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS), Cyclic Voltammetry. Biomarker capture capacity sensing material measured EIS. showed limit 0.02 pg/mL spiked serum samples. Overall, biosensing device good sensitivity, reproducibility, accuracy, rapid response time, which contibute development early diagnostics Poc tools neurological diseases.
